More Than Jewelry: How My Faith Inspires My Jewelry Business
When I started my jewelry business, Liora, I knew I wanted it to be more than just about beautiful pieces. I wanted it to reflect something deeper—my faith, my values, and the light I believe we are all called to shine in the world.
Why “Liora”?
The name Liora means “light” in Hebrew. To me, that word carries powerful weight. As a follower of Jesus, I’m reminded of His words in Matthew 5:14: “You are the light of the world.” That’s not just a nice idea—it’s a calling to live in a way that reflects His love, grace, and truth.
Jewelry as a Reflection of Light
Jewelry itself is all about light—how it catches, reflects, and sparkles. Diamonds, gold, gemstones—they all interact with light in unique ways. For me, that’s such a fitting metaphor. Just as each piece of jewelry shines in its own way, I believe each of us is created to reflect God’s light uniquely, too.
My Faith and My Business
Running a business brings challenges and rewards, and my faith has been the anchor through it all. Whether it’s making decisions with integrity, treating customers and suppliers with kindness, or creating designs that hold personal meaning, my goal is to reflect the character of Christ in this industry.
Faith also shapes the bigger vision of Liora. I hope that when someone wears one of my pieces, they feel not just beautiful, but valued—reminded that they are wonderfully made and have a purpose.
A Business Built on Purpose
I believe that light can change the world, even in small ways. A thoughtful gift, a meaningful design, a simple reminder of beauty and purpose—these choices matter. Through Liora, I want to create jewelry that’s not just about style, but about shining a little more light into someone’s life.
The Heart of Liora:
I’m really grateful to be doing something I love. Getting to build a business around something I care about—creating meaningful pieces and connecting with people through them—is such a blessing. It’s not always easy, and I’m learning as I go, but I truly see this as an opportunity God’s given me. My hope is that through the work, the process, and the heart behind it all, He’s the one who gets the glory.
